CUHK delegates at the University of Bologna
The CUHK delegates, led by Dean Prof Francis Chan, visited the University of Bologna, Italy to strengthen the collaboration within the GAME network. The delegation also included Prof Henry Chan (Director, Office of Global Engagement), Prof Paul Chan (Chairman, Department of Microbiology), Prof Vivian Lee (School of Pharmacy), Prof Siew Ng (Department of Medicine and Therapeutics), Prof Simon Ng (Assistant Dean, Learning Experience), Ms Margaret Cheung (Faculty Secretary) and Ms Monique Wong (Executive Officer, Office of Global Engagement).

After the official introduction of the two delegations in the Ulysses Room, there were some interactive presentations on common projects on Medical Education as well as research topics of mutual interest:

Medical Education in English in Bologna (Franco Trevisani, Sara Scurani and the Medical Students - UNIBO)
Collaborations in Gastroenterology (Rocco Maurizio Zagari – UNIBO)
Drug utilization review of acute coronary syndrome patients in Hong Kong and United States (Vivian Lee – CUHK)
Drug Utilization & Pharmacovigilance: collaboration within GAME (Emanuel Raschi – UNIBO)
These were fruitful discussions on ongoing collaborations within GAME, in view of the next GAME meeting in Munich. The CUHK delegates could have informal talk with the Medical students attending the course taught in English and to have a face-to-face meeting with the international officers of the University of Bologna to consider future exchange programmes of mutual interest.
CUHK delegates also has the opportunity to visit the University Hospital and the Palazzo Poggi Museum (above) in the main University Building.
