李天照教授背景
- 於1988年在英國錫菲爾大學取得博士學位，並獲頒英國格拉斯哥皇家醫學院內科榮譽院士，是人工受孕方面的國際權威，專長於慣性流產、植入失敗、生殖手術及先天性子宮異常等方面研究，發表超過250篇相關論文
- 於2014年5月加入中大醫學院婦產科學系擔任生殖醫學及外科部教授，兼任輔助生育技術中心主管

李教授有見慣性流產的情況愈趨普遍，遂於2014年7月開始在李嘉誠專科診所為慣性流產的婦女診症，至今共處理35宗慣性流產新個案。(統計數字截至2015年4月30日)

有關生殖手術
- 遇有生育問題的夫婦未必一定需要進行人工受孕，生殖手術亦是解決方法之一
- 未來發展方向：目前本港較少進行生殖手術，因為缺乏常規訓練，醫院管理局與香港中文大學正加緊討論加強有關方面的人才培訓和服務
