CU-Med Biobank
CU-Med Biobank has recently been established for the standardised and systematic collection, storage and application of patient biological samples with standard operating procedures and quality manuals. Ultra-low temperature freezers with capacity of >800,000 vials are monitored in a 24/7 manner to ensure sample quality. The quality standard of all procedures is based on International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER).
We will collect and store high-quality specimens linked to annotated clinical data from approved consented protocols. This system provides researchers with high-quality biological samples and comprehensive clinical, pathological including molecular/genetic information for their research. This standardised CU-Med Biobank is a pivotal bridge to improve the translation of basic research into clinical applications.
