This reflects the continued recognition and popularity of the teaching and research quality at CU Medicine among the academic community, parents, and society.
Professor Chan added, “Medical research and innovation have advanced by leaps and bounds. In addition to nurturing the next generation of healthcare practitioners, CU Medicine also aims to cultivate a new generation of clinician-scientists. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the introduction of the Global Physician-Leadership Stream. Since its establishment, we have not only admitted students with the best results in the Hong Kong public examinations but have also successfully cultivated numerous clinician-scientists who have dedicated themselves to medical research. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of GPS programme, a book has been recently released to record the learning experience and the achievement of our GPS students in the last decade. Looking ahead, CU Medicine will continue to wholeheartedly nurture every student enrolled in the medical programme, equipping them to become competent and compassionate doctors who can meet the needs of Hong Kong and the global healthcare system.
