CUHK Medical Alumni Homecoming Day (2025)
On 18 January 2025, the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK hosted a remarkable Medical Alumni Homecoming Day, followed by a poon choi dinner, which brought together around 500 alumni and their families to relive cherished memories and share moments of joy at the CUHK campus.
The event began with a captivating musical performance by our talented medical alumni, including Dr Anthony Teoh, Dr Bonaventure Ip, Dr Tso Kwok Chu, Dr Cosmos Guo, and Dr Jeremy Liu. Professor Philip W. Y. Chiu, Dean of CU Medicine, warmly welcomed alumni to “come home” with their children and families as the Chinese New Year approached, and enjoyed a poon choi dinner at the University Mall, creating a warm moment for the Faculty. Joining Professor Chiu to officially kick off the event were Dr Bonita Law, Convenor of the CU Medical Alumni Buddy Programme; Dr Shannon Chan, President of the CUHK Medical Alumni Association; Professor Enders Ng, Associate Dean (Alumni Affairs); and organising committee members, Dr Jospeh Chang and Dr Ruby Ching, as well as the music performers.
The day featured a wide array of engaging and enchanting activities suitable for all ages, such as visits to the dissecting laboratory and simulation laboratory, guided bus tours, photo-taking and game booths, and more, creating ample opportunities for alumni and their families to capture unforgettable moments.
The Faculty extends its heartfelt gratitude to all our loyal alumni for their unwavering support and unity. We look forward to welcoming alumni back at our future events!
