Professor John Leong Chi-yan Leong was invited to share his rich experience in medical leadership with GPS students at a workshop on 13 September 2017.

Having over 38 years of clinical practice and administration experience, including education administration, Professor Leong shared with students his wisdom and insights in leadership. He emphasized the importance of building up a good and co-operative team. He advised that administrative structure should be as simple as possible in order to facilitate the work of front-line staff. He reminded the budding physicians that good leaders should know the front-line staff, recognize their constraints and reward them commensurately with their achievements.
