White Coat Party for Medical Graduates 2024

Over 200 medical graduates were conferred white coats embroidered with their names after passing the final exams on 12 April, joined by the Faculty Dean, teachers, and medical alumni. This annual event is being held every year to mark the graduation of final-year students.

Professor Philip CHIU (MBChB 1994), Dean of CU Medicine encouraged the Class 2024, “When you put on this white coat, you step into a new role. You are no longer students; you are on the path to becoming doctors. You are entering a noble profession that will shape your perspectives, principles and sense of values for the rest of your life. This white coat represents the trust placed in the medical practitioners by patients. So please always be reminded to place the interests of your patients before your own.”

Professor Enders NG (MBChB 1989), Associate Dean (Alumni Affairs) of CU Medicine introduced medical alumni affairs during the programme.

Besides, Dr. Shannon CHAN (MBChB 2007), President of the CUHK Medical Alumni Association introduced the background and activities of the Association to the new graduates.

Dr. Anthony WONG (MBChB 2024) delivered a vote of thanks and presented a thank-you card to Dean CHIU on behalf of his class, followed by toasting and group photos. The event concluded with a dinner reception and a photo session.
