Médecins Sans Frontières Sharing Session – When the Anesthesia Machine Lacks an Oxygen Mask (22-Nov-2025)
The Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Sharing Session themed “When the Anesthesia Machine Lacks an Oxygen Mask,” co-organized by MSF Hong Kong and CUHK Faculty of Medicine, drew an overwhelming response, with approximately 60 medical alumni and students participating. The session offered a unique platform to share insights into humanitarian work and the experiences of professionals operating in some of the most challenging environments worldwide.
Our distinguished speakers included Dr. NG Siu-pan, Ben (CUHK MBChB 2000), recipient of the CUHK Distinguished Medical Alumni Award 2025 for Humanitarian Service, and Dr. KO Chi-cheong, Ryan (HKU MBBS 1980), a Hong Kong Red Cross Humanity Awardee in 2018. They shared compelling stories from their work in conflict zones and on the front lines, providing valuable perspectives and inspiring future humanitarian efforts.
